About Ilithyia
Combining funk and prog rock, blues, jazz, and a sprinkling of metal, Ilithyia creates a unique musical experience.
Formed in 2023 at a women’s rock jam by singer/songwriter Aislin, bassist/songwriter Willow, and drummer Connie, Ilithyia is an all-women funk/progressive rock band based in Lafayette, CO. Ilithyia picks from every pot, melting the 80s and 90s down in a fiery kiln to deliver a unique sound that weaves through multiple genres of music. Soulful and energetic vocals, bone-rattling bass, funky sax and keys, and driving drums power their forthcoming Goose Mafia EP.
At the helm sits Aislin, who started writing songs at age 9. Her influences include Umphrey’s McGee, Tool, The Pretty Reckless, and Radiohead, mixed with the chords and rhythms of jazz.
Down in the boiler room, keeping the engine set to turbo is Connie. Originally from Boston, Connie ended up in Colorado because of her day gig as a professional space nerd. Her influences include Guns n’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Faith No More, and all the grunge she grew up with in the 90s. She is owned by two cats.
Lurking in the ventilation and causing a general ruckus is Willow, a Colorado native and luthier whose bandmates don't rein in nearly enough. Her influences include Primus (who would've thought), System of a Down, Vulfpeck, Morphine, Marcus Miller, and a myriad of other bands and artists stretching from funk and RnB to grunge and metal with a healthy dose of bluegrass to top it all off.
Keeping the ship sailing is Amelia. Bringing a blues and surf rock vibe, her influences include King Gizzard, Tame Impala, David Gilmour, and the Oh Sees.
